Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Warrensville Heights City Schools. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing speech and language services to students with communication disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized speech and language plans for students with communication disorders.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students' communication needs.
  • Provide direct and indirect services to students, including individual and group therapy sessions.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement strategies to support students' communication needs.
  • Monitor and evaluate students' progress, making adjustments to plans as needed.
  • Communicate with parents and guardians to keep them informed of their child's progress and to involve them in the educational process.
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in speech and language therapy.
Requirements
  • Masters degree in Speech Pathology or related field.
  • Valid state department of education license/certificate in Speech Pathology.
  • Meets all mandated health requirements.
  • A record free of criminal violations that would prohibit public school employment.
  • Complies with drug-free workplace rules and board policies.
Working Conditions

The Speech Language Pathologist will work in a variety of settings, including classrooms, therapy rooms, and other school environments. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, and will be able to communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
