Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to work in our warehouse environment. As a Warehouse Sorter, you will be responsible for physically unloading and loading trucks, maintaining a high level of organization, and ensuring freight is properly loaded and unloaded to facilitate on-time, error-free deliveries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Unload and Load Freight: Safely and efficiently unload and load freight using suitable material-handling equipment.
  • Maintain Accuracy: Maintain accuracy when sorting out packages based on customer and delivery routes.
  • Ensure Safety and Security: Safeguard cross-dock operations and contents by establishing and monitoring safety and security procedures and protocols.
  • Conduct Daily Inspections: Conduct daily inspections to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, local, and internal laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Collaborate with Team Members: Collaborate with other warehouse team members to ensure continuously improving best practices and optimization of freight-related arrangements.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Proven Experience: Proven successful experience as a dock/warehouse team member.
Competencies
  • Superior Communication Skills: Superior verbal and written communication skills with people at all levels.

Work Environment

This job operates in a fast-paced warehouse environment with unforgiving surfaces as well as hot and cold climates with a variety of noises and odors.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds.
