Operations Coordinator

NY Common Pantry is seeking an experienced Operations Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining an organized system of tracking and addressing all operations-related concerns at all NYCP locations.
The Operations Coordinator will work closely with the Manager of Facilities and Operations to address any operational tasks as they pertain to warehouse operations, IT, administration, facilities operations, and/or staff/personnel. They will also collaborate with the Operations Office Manager to ensure the needs of the department and operational needs of the organization are addressed.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three (3) years of experience in operations or project management and a commitment to helping the communities in need and NYCP's work and mission. They will be responsible, detail-oriented, and a self-starter with good communication and customer service skills.
The Operations Coordinator will report directly to the Managing Director of Operations and will be located at the NYCP Food Warehouse and Distribution Hub location at 1285 Oak Point Avenue in the Hunts Point area of the Bronx. The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday: 9 am - 5 pm; 1-hour lunch. This is a Full-Time position, 35 hours a week, non-exempt.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and keep track of operational systems logs such as ticket support system of all IT and Facilities requests, Fleet Management/Organizational Vehicles information, Vendor Information, Supply Lists, audit of all electronic devices, and other internal operations systems.
- Work closely with the Manager of Facilities and Operations to address any operational tasks as they pertain to warehouse operations, IT, administration, facilities operations, and/or staff/personnel.
- Collaborate with the Operations Office Manager to ensure the needs of the department and operational needs of the organization are addressed.
- Liaise with the warehouse operations team to address and identify operational concerns and responsibilities.
- Collaborate with Human Resources, Finance, and Development, facilitating cross-functional needs of all departments.
- Assist in preparing for special events, as needed.
- Assist in authoring and distribution of operations process and protocol documents.
- Travel to other NYCP locations to address operational concerns.
- Partner with the Managing Director of Operations on other duties. Attend meetings as assigned. Prepare and follow-up on important internal meetings.
- Undertake ad hoc projects as assigned by the Managing Director of Operations.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in operations or project management is required.
- Commitment to helping the communities in need and NYCP's work and mission.
- Great organization and follow-up skills are a must.
- Flexible schedule and able to work evenings and weekends and handle emergency calls.
- Responsible, detail-oriented, and a self-starter.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
