Job Summary

The Food and Nutrition Associate II at Tabitha is responsible for assisting in food preparation and upholding the company's LIVE2Care Culture. This role requires a team player who can work collaboratively with others to provide exceptional service to seniors and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in food preparation, including cooking, serving, and cleaning.
  • Follow recipes and safe food handling procedures to ensure high-quality food service.
  • Provide personalized service to guests and clients.
  • Procure food from storage areas and maintain proper storage.
  • Prepare food to order in the dining room.
  • Clean and sanitize the kitchen, dish room, and equipment.
  • Utilize critical thinking skills to work independently and problem-solve with the nursing team.

Requirements
  • Must be able to accurately weigh and measure food ingredients.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the English language.
  • Must have sufficient fluency to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Must be able to recognize and interpret non-verbal cues.
  • Must have physical stamina to perform duties while moving about the work area.
  • Must have unrestricted lift/push/pull ability and pass a 32-pound physical exam.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Six months of experience in quantity food production in a healthcare facility or similar competency level.
  • Prep/Cook Level Food Handler Permit required for Tabitha campuses in Lancaster County.
