Role Summary:

The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure an exceptional guest experience through the effective education, delivery, and presentation of food and beverages.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver exemplary guest service.
  • Foster and maintain a positive workplace culture aligned with the principles of the Spirit of Tlcn and the Core Values of ilani.
  • Welcome guests, present menus, articulate daily specials, respond to inquiries, and offer recommendations regarding food, beverages, and gaming options.
  • Process guest orders and coordinate with the kitchen.
  • Serve dishes from the kitchen and service areas.
  • Enhance the presentation of dishes through garnishing and decoration.
  • Monitor guests to address additional requests and assess when meals are completed.
  • Prepare bills, present checks, accept payments, and provide change.
  • Prepare soups, salads, desserts, brew coffee, and perform other tasks as required by the establishment's operations.
  • Clear and reset tables or counters after each course.
  • Understand and comply with legal drinking age regulations.
  • Verify identification for guests appearing under 30 years of age who wish to consume or purchase alcoholic beverages.
  • Be knowledgeable about the effects of alcohol and exercise sound judgment when serving alcoholic beverages.
  • Assist fellow servers by collecting and delivering their orders as needed.
  • Support colleagues by checking on their tables and providing assistance as required.
  • Work shifts that may extend up to 8 hours or longer as necessary.
  • Perform ancillary duties such as rolling silverware, cleaning trays, restocking supplies, filling ice bins, setting up, cleaning, and organizing service areas.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned.
Essential Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma / GED; or an equivalent recognized qualification.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a fast-paced food and beverage environment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to cultivate a supportive team atmosphere.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Willingness to work in a smoking environment.
  • Commitment to adhere to company health and safety protocols.
