Director - National Assurance Technical Group Leader

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Director to lead our National Assurance Technical Group, responsible for ensuring quality control and consistent methodologies across Assurance engagements. The ideal candidate will have a background in public accounting, with experience managing and delivering assurance engagements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct quality control reviews of assurance engagements to ensure compliance with professional standards, regulatory requirements, and CLA policies and procedures.
  • Serve as a technical resource for complex audit and accounting subject matter for engagement teams, including direct consultations with clients.
  • Build and foster lasting relationships within our industry groups and engagement teams.
  • Engage in opportunities to develop new skills and experiences related to our audit quality and assurance transformation initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA certification required.
  • 6+ years of experience in a public accounting environment or equivalent, including recent experience managing and delivering assurance engagements.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.
  • Solid analytical and decision-making skills, including the ability to collaborate with others.
  • Ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on organization and detail.
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts to engagement teams and clients.
  • Proficiency in using various assurance resources and research products effectively.
