LPN - Acute Care Nurse Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled LPN to join our team in the High Intensity Care Unit (HICU) at Levindale Hospital. As a LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our team.

About the Unit

The HICU is a 20-bed unit that provides care for patients who require attention for acute brain injuries, respiratory assistance, or special monitoring. Our team takes a collaborative approach to patient care, working together to assess patient status, implement clinical nursing interventions, and develop patient care plans to enhance outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing vital signs, and documenting patient information
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Monitor patient status and report any changes or concerns to the Registered Nurse or Director of Nursing
  • Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current LPN license in the state of Maryland
  • AHA BLS CPR certification
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Synquest and IV Pump
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
