Job Summary

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) on our High Intensity Care Unit (HICU), you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care to those who require attention for acute brain injuries, respiratory assistance, or special monitoring. Our team takes a collaborative approach to ensure patients receive the best possible outcomes.

About the Unit

The HICU is a 20-bed unit that can accommodate up to 40 patients. Our staff members are outgoing and positive, utilizing strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status, implement clinical nursing interventions, and develop patient care plans to enhance outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized nursing care to patients with acute brain injuries, respiratory conditions, or special monitoring needs
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Assume leadership roles as needed to ensure smooth unit operations
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A diploma in nursing from an accredited school
  • A valid LPN license and AHA BLS CPR certification
  • Basic computer skills and experience with Synquest, IV Pump, Phillips Monitoring System, Accucheck, and EKG Machine
