Key Responsibilities:
You will play a vital role in supporting and enhancing logistic operations by formulating and executing strategies for process enhancements, capital projects, and maintenance initiatives across our distribution network.
Oversee project management for interdisciplinary engineering tasks, including sourcing specifications, budget management, and performance metrics for capability, efficiency, quality, timelines, and safety.
Primary Duties:
Assess, develop, and implement techniques and equipment of varying complexity utilized in Distribution to optimize operational efficiency.
Design and plan systems that boost productivity by enhancing the integration of personnel, materials, systems, equipment, and financial resources with minimal supervision.
Advise on safer and more efficient operational processes through the use of new, existing, or modified machinery and systems in collaboration with warehouse management and manufacturing engineering.
Propose or execute modifications to work methods, materials, machinery, manpower distribution, and safety protocols for projects of moderate to high complexity with limited oversight.
Establish and nurture relationships with various equipment suppliers, collaborating with Purchasing to secure the best balance of quality, cost, and service for our maintenance and project equipment requirements.
Create work standards, schedules, procedures, and performance metrics for work applications aimed at enhancing efficiency and reducing costs for projects of moderate to high complexity.
Analyze and recommend adjustments to current operations to boost efficiency, lower costs, and enhance safety.Manage daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance and reporting systems as assigned.
Participate in cross-functional projects or meetings as necessary.
Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
2-4 years of pertinent experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficiency in AutoCAD is preferred.
Six-Sigma and/or Lean certifications are advantageous.
Skills and Attributes:
Demonstrates a strong understanding of technical, process, and business principles, along with industry standards and practices.
Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
Capable of multitasking, prioritizing, and managing time efficiently.
High integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information.
Additional Considerations: Occasional exposure to hazardous conditions such as noise, moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, and other situations typical of a busy production environment.
Ability to walk long distances and stand for extended periods.Bending, crouching, and stooping may be necessary.
Ability to work in non-climate-controlled settings.
The work environment may be noisy and busy.
Flexibility to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
Capability to wear personal protective equipment correctly for most of the day.
Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly.
Travel may be required.
