Director Accounting Processes & Systems

Mohawk Industries, a leading global flooring manufacturer, is seeking a high-level leader to oversee the accounting department's systems and processes. As a Director Accounting Processes & Systems, you will be responsible for the daily management of accounting systems, maintenance of accounting reports, and strategic planning. This role involves managing a team of accounting professionals, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations, and identifying opportunities for process improvement within the accounting department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic leadership to the Accounting Processes & Systems team.
  • Supervise and manage a team of accounting professionals and analysts, providing guidance and mentorship.
  • Hold knowledge of our current SAP ERP system (S4Hana Finance), Accounting systems (BlackLine, SmartClose, CoStar,...), and Reporting Tools (Excel, Power-BI, SAC, SSAS, AO,...).
  • Support and train the accounting teams on systems and reporting tools.
  • Support and coordinate with the Flooring North America & Mohawk Corporate IS teams.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement within the accounting department with a focus on automation.
  • Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Contribute to the development of strategic financial goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with senior management on financial strategies and planning.
  • Coordinate and manage internal and external audits.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles and provide necessary documentation during audits.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • 10+ years' relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of management experience.
  • MBA preferred.
  • CPA certification preferred.
