Job Summary

The Associate Director of Alumni Affairs is a key member of the Law School Development team, responsible for managing and implementing all aspects of Law School alumni affairs to advance a strategic alumni engagement plan. This includes communications, events, CLES, and various programming in coordination and consultation with the Executive Director and Assistant Dean.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive system for alumni engagement and email marketing outreach to increase alumni, student, and friend giving and engagement with the Law School.
  • Work collaboratively to identify, steward, and solicit donors, when appropriate, for the Law School.
  • Manage and support the Temple Law Alumni Association (TLAA) Executive Board by supporting TLAA programming in coordination with the alumni relations programming sponsored by the Law School.
  • Manage the TLAA Executive Board members as prospects to solicit and steward annually, when appropriate, in addition to other prospects as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and at least four years directly related experience.
  • Experience with social networking communities and the ability to manage web-based services.
  • Demonstrated experience managing events of various sizes.
  • Experience giving presentations to large and small groups.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated computer skills to include MS Office Suite.
  • Skills in alumni/donor data base management.
  • Ability to assist with the development of e-marketing communications.
  • Excellent organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills along with the ability to effectively interact with a diverse group of individuals.
  • Demonstrated success with developing and sustaining relationships with donors, volunteers, alumni, faculty, and staff.
  • Ability to travel to off-site locations that may not be accessible via public transportation.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks in a professional and cordial manner.
  • Ability to problem solve, and exercise independent judgment as needed.
