Position Overview:
Complete the in-house Nurse Aide training program successfully by fulfilling all program requirements, including the clinical component.
This paid educational initiative will equip you to serve as a Nursing Assistant within the hospital environment.
The program includes both classroom instruction and hands-on clinical training.You will be trained to assist nursing personnel with the daily care of patients and their families by performing various patient care tasks while fostering positive interactions with every patient, family member, and visitor.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform essential patient care tasks as assigned and overseen by a Registered Nurse, which may include monitoring vital signs, taking blood glucose readings, and documenting intake and output.
Support patients with personal care and daily living activities, such as bathing, grooming, eating, and mobility assistance.
Report any unusual findings or changes in patients' physical, mental, or emotional conditions to the nursing staff. Help maintain patient rooms and common areas in a stocked, clean, and orderly manner. Carry out other job-related responsibilities as directed by the Unit Director/Supervisor, House Supervisor, Nursing Team Coordinator, and/orQualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent - Preferred
Minimum Work Experience:
Experience in acute care settings is preferred.
Required Skills:
Must possess critical thinking abilities, sound judgment, and the capacity to work independently. Ability to function effectively in a high-pressure environment and take appropriate actions as needed.
Certifications:
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hire.
Required Licenses:
Nursing Assistant must be active on the North Carolina Nurse Aide I Registry within 6 months of completing the training program.
