At NetApp, we're on a mission to help our customers unlock the full potential of their data. As a Performance Analysis Engineer, you'll play a critical role in this effort, working with our Research and Development team to model, measure, and analyze the performance of our storage systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create analytical and simulation-based models to predict storage systems performance
  • Evaluate design alternatives for enhanced performance, and prototype opportunities for performance enhancements
  • Measure and analyze product performance to identify and realize performance improvement opportunities
  • Design, implement, execute, analyze, interpret, socialize and apply storage-oriented performance measurements and their results, including the creation of tools and automation
  • Work closely with development teams to drive the performance improvement agenda

Requirements:

  • In-depth knowledge of performance analysis and modeling tools, techniques, and benchmarks
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in computer operating systems, computer architecture and design, data structures, software design and programming practices; systems programming in C and/or C++
  • Strong scripting skills - Perl, Python (primarily within JupyterHub), Shell
  • Ability to create and enhance automation frameworks (generally python-based) to improve productivity in those environments
  • A creative and analytical approach to problem solving
  • D. and 8 years of experience, in Computer Science, preferred, or Computer Engineering or related engineering/scientific field
