Position Overview

The Principal Investigator (Clinical Research Physician) plays a crucial role in overseeing and executing clinical trials that evaluate new medications on behalf of pharmaceutical sponsors. This position involves working within a clinical environment to uphold Good Clinical Practice and adhere to assigned research protocols. Responsibilities include medical management of trial participants, administering treatments, maintaining documentation, tracking adverse events, and overall study management. You will collaborate with a dedicated team of coordinators, nurse practitioners, and assistants.

  • Assess and screen potential participants based on eligibility criteria
  • Conduct and review medical procedures as per the clinical study protocol
  • Ensure completion of all necessary documentation, both paper and electronic
  • Provide oversight and delegate responsibilities to appropriate staff members
  • Maintain and update all study-related documentation
  • Evaluate and report on safety incidents, protocol deviations, and other specific reports.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: MD or DO degree
  • Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
  • Commitment to a full-time, 4-day per week on-site schedule
