Related Risk Management & Compliance, an Alera Group Company, is seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Customer Service Specialist/Intake Coordinator.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide exceptional customer service by responding to inquiries, resolving issues, and escalating complex cases to senior team members.
- Assist employees in navigating the leave of absence/disability claim process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of claims.
- Collect and verify employee information, entering it accurately into the claims system.
- Exercise discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information, adhering to regulatory requirements and compliance timeframes.
- Redirect quality of care/service complaints to the contact center manager and provide requests for information to the correct operational area.
- Perform project work and other related duties as assigned or required.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees, employers, and third-party vendors.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working with multiple priorities and adapting to changing circumstances.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
