Job Overview:

Jobs for Humanity is seeking a Senior IT Solutions Architect to play a pivotal role in defining, maintaining, and enhancing the functional architecture of our comprehensive suite of Financial Services Applications. This position involves coordinating and guiding the efforts of team members to ensure optimal performance and alignment with business objectives.

As a Senior IT Solutions Architect, you will engage in process flow analysis and redesign in collaboration with project managers. Your contributions will include the development of detailed functional design documents that align with customer needs, while also presenting current best practices and alternative third-party solutions.

You will be responsible for creating and owning the technical design documentation, completing a configuration workbook, and proposing effective architectural solutions that meet cost, quality, and scheduling requirements. Collaborating with project teams, you will design prototypes to validate application functionality.

This role requires expertise in custom systems architecture and design for scalable, transaction-intensive applications, including the design of web-based user interfaces and complex backend systems, as well as middleware integrations.


Requirements:
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline, along with five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in a similar role. Key qualifications include:
  • Experience with end-to-end complex systems development life cycles, including methodologies such as waterfall, iterative, Agile, and Jira.
  • Collaboration with product managers and scrum masters to develop backlog entries for application and process development.
  • Partnership with engineering and operations teams to assess feasibility, complexity, and scope of new capabilities and solutions.
  • Engagement with clients to ascertain business requirements and design solution patterns for applications within cloud technologies.
  • Proficiency in designing solutions in distributed cloud environments, including various operating systems and relational databases.
  • Experience in implementing solutions utilizing clustering, high availability, virtualization, and load balancing technologies.

Additionally, the role involves driving continuous improvement in design, service strategy, and standardization of processes and methodologies.
