MISSION

To assist in the procurement activities for non-production materials and services while supporting regional purchasing initiatives.

Responsibilities & Activities

Responsibility 1:

  • Communicate purchasing guidelines
  • Revise workflows for new management structures
  • Document hard savings in TopShare (CSD) and establish a workflow for financial approval
  • Input ideas into Wave
  • Complete buyer performance evaluations
  • Draft financial improvement communications
  • Assist fellow buyers
  • Distribute project scopes of work
  • Formulate commodity strategies for facilities
  • Oversee non-production suppliers
  • Support plant objectives in cost, quality, delivery, etc.
  • Enhance the supply base and address supplier challenges

Responsibility 2:

  • Conduct Top Safety Visits
  • Perform LPA audits

Responsibility 3:

Possess the authority to halt production in the event of quality or safety concerns.

This role involves physical activities such as walking, talking, seeing, hearing, sitting, climbing, bending, stooping, grasping, crouching, pushing, balancing, reaching, kneeling, and standing. The ability to lift up to 33 lbs regularly is required, along with the capacity to work in varying temperature conditions.

PROFILE REQUIREMENTS

Personal Background

  • Preferred college degree (Business or technical) or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of purchasing experience preferred
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship or visa transfer requirements

Job Technical Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Experienced in SAP
  • Adept at collecting, maintaining, and analyzing data
  • Capable of creating and presenting sourcing documentation to the Global purchasing department
  • Familiar with all buyer responsibilities and sourcing documentation protocols
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills within a manufacturing context
  • Preferred knowledge of accrual-based accounting practices
