Role Summary:
As an Electronics Production Specialist, the ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electronics manufacturing, particularly with surface mount and through-hole component technologies. You will excel in troubleshooting, reworking, repairing, and assembling various electronic devices, demonstrating excellent hand-eye coordination and precision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Solder and manually assemble a variety of electronic components, including resistors, diodes, transistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, switches, and wires onto printed circuit boards.
- Assemble microcircuits that require meticulous hand assembly, utilizing microscopes and adhering to cleanroom protocols.
- Install, mount, fasten, align, and adjust components and wiring to subassemblies and assemblies using hand tools and small power tools.
- Operate automatic and semi-automatic machinery to position, solder, and clean components on printed circuit boards.
- Monitor and operate process equipment to fabricate electronic components, solder, clean, seal, and perform other specified operations.
- Set up process equipment while following cleanroom procedures as necessary.
- Replace defective components and conduct repairs on older devices.
- Perform quality control inspections on all products to ensure compliance with commercial standards and customer satisfaction.
- Test products to validate reported failures.
- Conduct inspections using magnifying devices to ensure compliance with production specifications.
- Repair, assemble, and test electronic products, such as LED display modules.
- Execute touch-up soldering, desoldering, and cleaning of components in accordance with IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 standards.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- Report any unsafe conditions or opportunities for improvement to the supervisor.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and leadership.
- Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education:
Vocational school certificate or college degree is required.
Experience:
Proven experience in troubleshooting and reworking electronic PCBAs, along with a background in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
Skills:
Proficient in Windows and MS Office software. Must demonstrate self-motivation, a positive attitude, and the ability to work collaboratively under pressure. A disciplined, proactive approach with a strong sense of initiative is essential.
