Job Title: Therapist - Healthy Families

At Suncoast Center, we are seeking a skilled Therapist to join our Healthy Families team. As a Therapist, you will work closely with new parents to provide counseling and support to help them build a healthy home for their children.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide counseling to new parents experiencing family stress, mental health concerns, and trauma.
  • Complete mental health and psychosocial assessments as part of the diagnostic evaluation.
  • Provide evidence-based mental health treatment to clients either in person or via telehealth.
  • Conduct intakes, treatment planning, and psychotherapy services to diverse populations.
  • Provide individual, couples, family, and group therapy, as needed.
  • Complete and maintain documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Provide crisis intervention, as necessary.
  • Collaborate with agency and community partners for supervision, staffing, and team meetings.
  • Able to provide services in client homes, schools, and other community settings.
  • Develop and provide trainings to Healthy Department home visitors on working with high-risk families.
  • Complete all documentation in accordance with agency and funder standards.
  • Maintains a productivity level in accordance with agency standards.
Requirements:
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Must have a negative drug screening prior to hire and throughout employment.
  • Must pass a Criminal Background Check, local checks, and DCF Level II Background Screening prior to hire and annually.
  • Must have valid Florida Driver's License and pass motor vehicle checks prior to hire and annually with acceptable driving record maintained throughout employment.
