Job Overview

Temporary Position for 90 Days

Working Hours: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday

Note: This role has the potential to transition into a Full-Time position based on interest and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain regular and consistent attendance.
  2. Assist theatre managers with logistics related to deliveries, returns, and distribution challenges.
  3. Engage with vendors to discuss new products, exceptions, and discrepancies.
  4. Conduct thorough audits of assigned concession inventories, documenting any discrepancies.
  5. Report findings from audits to Theatre Managers, District Managers, and the Food Service Manager.
  6. Investigate any unusual monthly food cost variations.
  7. Examine invoice discrepancies or pricing issues.
  8. Update and maintain concession order guides, communicating changes to relevant parties.
  9. Process invoices related to food services.
  10. Create specific purchase orders for theatres.
  11. Compile and submit inventory Over/Short Summaries.
  12. Support the Food Service Manager in generating monthly volume reports (MTD & YTD).
  13. Assist with rebate program management.
  14. Help compile various concession-related analysis reports.
  15. Distribute correspondence within the Food Service Department.
  16. Perform tasks such as faxing, copying, and filing as needed.
  17. Carry out additional duties as assigned by the Food Service Manager and Director of Food Service.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to perform essential duties effectively. The following qualifications are essential:

  • Self-motivated with the capability to work independently.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines.

Education and Experience:

A college degree, along with experience in theatre management and accounting, is strongly preferred. Previous experience in auditing or financial analysis is required, along with a high school diploma.

Language Skills:

Strong communication skills with a professional demeanor are necessary.

Mathematical Skills:

Proficiency in basic arithmetic operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, is required. Candidates should also be able to compute rates, ratios, and percentages, as well as interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Skills:

The ability to analyze data, draw conclusions, and make comparisons is essential.

Computer Skills:

Familiarity with word processing, spreadsheets, general ledger, and database software is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is preferred.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.

Physical Demands:

The physical requirements of this role include frequent sitting, using hands for various tasks, and occasional walking, stooping, kneeling, or lifting up to 25 pounds. Vision requirements include close and distance vision, along with the ability to adjust focus.
