Job Description

Job Title: Release Train Engineer

Job Summary:

Innova Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Release Train Engineer to join our team. As a Release Train Engineer, you will play a critical role in facilitating Agile transformation and ensuring the successful delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate Agile Transformation: Plan, execute, and oversee the Program Increment (PI) planning, Agile Release Train (ART) syncs, Scrum of Scrums, and Inspect & Adapt sessions.
  • Manage Risks and Dependencies: Identify and manage risks, impediments, and dependencies that may impact the ART's ability to deliver value.
  • Support Agile Teams: Provide guidance and support to Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and Agile teams to ensure adherence to SAFe principles and best practices.
  • Optimize ART Flow: Continuously improve the flow of value through ART by focusing on optimizing processes, removing bottlenecks, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between teams, Product Management, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency on progress, risks, and outcomes.
  • Metrics and Reporting: Track and report on ART performance metrics such as velocity, burn-down, and cumulative flow to provide insights and drive improvements.
  • Coach and Mentor: Coach leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters in SAFe practices, promoting Lean-Agile principles and a DevOps mindset.
  • Facilitate Change: Guide the organization in implementing and scaling Agile practices, driving cultural and process change as needed.
  • Support PI Planning: Ensure readiness for PI planning, including coordination of dependencies, stakeholder engagement, and alignment of teams' objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Certification: SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) certification is required. Additional SAFe certifications (e.g., SAFe Agilist) are a plus.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in an Agile environment, with at least 2 years as a Release Train Engineer or Agile Program Manager.

Skills:

  • Agile Frameworks: Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and SAFe principles.
  • Leadership: Proven leadership skills, with experience in guiding teams and stakeholders.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders.
