The primary responsibility of the Welder is to perform welding tasks with precision and efficiency. This role requires operating machinery such as angle roll formers, loopers, and bandsaws, while ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Interpret and follow customer work orders accurately.
  2. Operate various welding and fabrication machines including angle roll formers and bandsaws.
  3. Prepare materials for welding by using angle grinders and other tools.
  4. Align and secure components using measuring tools and clamps.
  5. Conduct repairs and adjustments on machinery as necessary.
  6. Maintain a safe and organized workspace.
  7. Package and label finished products for shipment.
  8. Available for both 1st and 2nd shifts, with flexibility to work overtime and weekends as required.
  9. Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to read and write effectively.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and weekends when needed.
  • Capability to work a 10-hour daily schedule.
  • Must work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Effective communication skills with team members and other departments.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Willingness to assist in other areas during downtime.
  • Competence in reading and interpreting work orders.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Preferred experience of at least 1 year in a manufacturing setting.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must maintain good physical health.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 150 lbs.
  • Good hand-eye coordination is essential.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment is necessary.
