Job Description

As a key member of The Rockridge Group, the Real Estate Development Representative will play a crucial role in the management of our lease portfolio and the development of new assets. This position requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Track and analyze critical operational data associated with leases/licenses and owned properties
  • Monitor competitor activity and permitting practices
  • Assist with the identification and development of new signage and telecom opportunities
  • Liaise among various internal departments to gather and disseminate information and ensure necessary approvals and standards
  • Aid in the preparation of documentation required to secure internal approvals for new assets and renewals
  • Prepare and negotiate agreements with property owners to secure new or existing assets
  • Be conversant in applicable codes/regulations, and with permit requirements and processes
  • Work with outside professionals to perform due diligence, prepare drawings, secure permits, address violations, etc.
  • Track relevant zoning regulations and monitor any proposed zoning applications or changes
  • Develop and maintain productive and professional relationships with existing and potential property owners, and serve as the primary point of contact for all real estate related matters
  • Address ongoing requirements and inquiries; resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Enter, maintain, and routinely audit data, reports, and electronic files to ensure accurate accounting, record keeping, and file management
  • Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships, both internally and externally
  • Secure copy approval from landlords
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent 4 years' experience
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience with increasing levels of responsibility
  • Basic familiarity with real estate principles and practices with an emphasis on field work including lead generation, negotiations and application of regulations
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, decision making and problem solving skills focused on achieving business results
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret verbal and written requests and directions
  • Cooperative and professional manner when interacting with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to complete required financial analysis, including among other things, filling out models
  • Routine work outside of office taking ride photos, performing field work, etc.
  • Proficient in Microsoft software applications (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
  • Valid drivers' license
