Licensed Veterinary Technician- Neurology Specialist

We are seeking an exceptional Neurology Veterinary Technician to join our team at BluePearl Pet Hospital in Johns Creek, GA. As a passionate assistant, you will have the opportunity to improve your skills in the veterinary field and work with some of the brightest veterinary professionals in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up constant rate infusions (CRI) and calculate medical math, including advanced and CRI (mcg/mg, %/mg, etc).
  • Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia, as well as set up for MRI and CT procedures.
  • Discharge neuro patients from the hospital, including basic client education such as manual bladder expression, sling walking, range of motion, etc.
  • Provide nursing care to stable patients according to hospital standards of care and core values.
  • Perform call backs and refill medications, as well as client education and gathering histories.
  • Perform physical exams, accurately count vital parameters, and understand normal vital parameters.
  • Comfortable with IVC placement and venipuncture, and operate all brands of intravenous fluid pumps.
