Batching Operator

Job Summary
Niagara Bottling is seeking a skilled Batching Operator to join our production team. As a Batching Operator, you will be responsible for batching activities as required by production demand, ensuring the shift meets established safety, quality, and production goals in compliance with all applicable legal and food safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Precisely inspects, stages, weighs, and mixes ingredients according to product recipes, collaborating with Quality Assurance Technicians on analytical results and making modifications or adjustments to batches as needed.
- Pre-weighs, blends, and liquefies components for beverage preparation.
- Accurately documents lot numbers, quantities, and expiration dates on formulas per customer regulations.
- Performs cleaning and sanitation of batching equipment and fillers, adhering to Niagara's Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Food Safety Standards at all times.
- Operates forklifts to load/move various ingredients, following all safety procedures.
- Maintains general housekeeping and quality in all areas of batching, production, and assigned areas.
- Assists in other areas as required by plant supervision.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a field or similar manufacturing environment.
- Ability to speak effectively with management and employees at all levels.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability and/or flexibility to work up to 12 hour shifts, day or night, overtime.
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Forklift experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- 4 years of experience in a field or similar manufacturing environment.
- 4 years of experience working in a position.
- 2 years of experience managing people/projects.
