Key Responsibilities
  • Hardware and Software Support: Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Ticket Resolution: Resolve technical issues and troubleshoot problems to maintain productivity and minimize downtime.
  • System Maintenance: Test and maintain system functionality to ensure reliability and efficiency.
  • Network Design and Implementation: Assist in designing and implementing networks to meet business needs.
  • User Support: Consult with users to determine hardware and software needs and assist in placing orders.
  • Technical Research: Study technical applications and make recommendations to maximize computer system capabilities.
  • Software Testing: Test compatibility of new programs with existing ones to ensure seamless integration.
  • Vendor Evaluation: Evaluate vendor-supplied software to ensure compatibility with existing hardware and programs.
  • Training and Documentation: Train users on new software and document hardware and software updates.
  • Performance Tuning: Carry out software, network, and database performance tuning to optimize system performance.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate degree or above in computer science, information systems, or related field.
  • Experience: Prior experience working on a Helpdesk, in IT, or similar technical function.
  • Certifications: A+, Security +, or other field-related certification.
  • Skills: Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, ability to communicate technical information to non-technical employees, and a process improvement mindset.
