Role Summary:

The Clinical Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting healthcare providers during patient visits and procedures. Responsibilities include conducting routine laboratory tests, managing referrals, and ensuring quality outcomes for patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcoming and preparing patients for their appointments.
  • Monitoring and assisting patients throughout their visit.
  • Collecting patient vitals, including height, weight, allergies, current medications, and comprehensive medical history.
  • Updating patient records and managing necessary documentation.
  • Sanitizing and organizing patient rooms, equipment, and tools.
  • Recording patient care plans, test results, and examination findings in the electronic medical record (EMR).

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
  • Prior experience in a clinical environment is preferred.
  • Ability to assist individuals in a fast-paced setting, both in person and over the phone.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and comfort in engaging with patients.
  • Resilience in handling challenging patient interactions.
  • Familiarity with NextGen EMR or similar systems.
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or possession of an EMT certification.
