About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Specialist to join our team at General Dynamics Mission Systems. As an Information Assurance Security Professional, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our systems and data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement government security requirements, including technical computer/network system auditing
  • Conduct security testing and evaluation to ensure correct implementation of security controls
  • Support the assessment and mitigation of vulnerabilities throughout a system's life cycle
  • Perform incident response and cleanup actions as necessary
  • Ensure systems are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with internal security policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Proficient understanding of cyber security specifications, including Risk Management Framework (RMF), JSIG, ICD-503, and NIST SP
  • Experience implementing government security requirements and technical computer/network system auditing
  • Trained and proficient in Assured File Transfer (AFT) processes and tools
  • Strong writing, speaking, analytical, and customer service skills
  • Ability to participate in or lead security work groups
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of the NISPOM, JSIG, ICD-503, NIST SP, and CNSSI 1253
  • DoD 8570 IAM-I level professional certification (i.e. Security CE, CAP, GSLC) or ability to obtain within six (6) months of hire
