Job Summary

The Field Service Engineer is responsible for providing technical support and maintenance services for DeZURIK products in the Water Industries and other industries. This role involves performing after-sale field service responsibilities, providing technical expertise to various departments, and ensuring prompt corrective action to satisfy all parties involved.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform technical field service on DeZURIK products, communicating with customers, representatives, and vendors at all levels.
  • Conduct Field Design modifications to correct Engineering, Sales, and Manufacturing errors.
  • Analyze customer specifications and requirements, verifying that DeZURIK products are installed and operating satisfactorily. Provide quotes for service training, service parts, and determine warranty.
  • Offer system analysis and make recommendations to customers on improving production processes.
  • Prepare detailed written reports summarizing events and activities performed during each service call.
  • Provide thorough written and verbal communication and technical information necessary for product design and manufacture, focusing on quality, design, installation, maintenance, and application.
  • Manage personal expenses, which exceed $60k per year.
  • Perform technical inside field service on DeZURIK product calls from reps and customers, coordinating activities with Engineers and Contractors.
  • Maintain accurate records of field service calls, actions, Rep repairs, etc.

Requirements

  • High school diploma plus a 2-year Engineering degree or equivalent.
  • 2 years of work experience with a strong mechanical and electrical background, including electronics, pneumatics, and hydraulics.

Skills and Abilities

  • Comprehensive knowledge of DeZURIK products and systems.
  • Self-motivated, decisive, and able to adapt to demands placed on this position.
  • Effective communication skills to discuss demanding problems, deadlines, and dollar costs with customers.
  • Ability to satisfy quality requirements of Manufacturing, Engineering, and Customer specifications.
  • Ability to network with constituents at a job site to gain support in resolving problems.
  • Completion of OSHA 30 training (online) within 1 year of hire.

Work Environment

Normal manufacturing and office environment. When working occasionally in some shop areas, personal protection equipment (PPE) will be recommended and/or required. Must have the ability to support extended business hours to meet customer business needs.
