Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at Prime Occupational Services LLC. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and care for clients, recognizing and attending to their needs.
  • Recognize ethical and legal responsibilities and perform a variety of clinical procedures and administrative duties.
  • Provide information, services, and assistance to clients and patients at PRIME on-site events and various PRIME Clinics.
  • Maintain medical supplies inventory and perform preventive maintenance to keep medical equipment operating.
  • Verify patient information, medical histories by interviewing patients, documenting medical history, and confirming purpose of visit.
  • Prepare patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests, drug & alcohol screening, audiograms, EKG's, pulmonary function test, respirator fit test, and reporting patient history summary.
  • Save doctors' time by helping with office procedures.
  • Assist in injury care, assist with on-site clinical services, perform phlebotomy service, and give injections.
  • Secure patient information and maintain patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records, completing diagnostic coding and procedure coding, and keeping patient information confidential.
  • Update and file medical records according to State and Federal laws.
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
  • Keep supplies ready by inventorying stock, placing orders, and verifying receipt.
  • Keep equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, and performing preventive maintenance.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications.
  • Serve and protect the practice by adhering to professional standards, facility policies and procedures, and federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Enhance practice reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Take and record messages.
  • Must have the ability to take on call on a rotating basis and provide services to surrounding PRIME locations and on-site.
  • May be required to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must have dependable transportation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements
  • Must be a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) or equivalent.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of working experience as a Medical Assistant required.
Physical Demands

Sitting or standing for prolonged periods of time, lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 50 pounds.

Repetitive motion. Extensive use of computers, copy machines, and keyboards. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading.

Must have the ability to lift and carry small parcels, packages, and other items, to walk short distances, and drive a vehicle to deliver and pick up materials.
