Job Title: Project Engineer

Job Summary:
As a Project Engineer at Rolls-Royce, you will be responsible for providing technical support to an extended, multi-functional integrated product team (IPT) to apply a systems approach to the realization of a new system or the modification of an existing one. You will define, plan, monitor, control, and deliver managed change to meet all agreed stakeholder requirements. Additionally, you will plan and deliver verification programs to ensure that Rolls-Royce's products meet business, customer, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare costs, schedule estimates, and manage project control accounts
Plan, manage, and support development engine/sub-system build and test activities
Generate, develop, and document engine-level requirements and allocate requirements to major sub-systems
Develop and manage engine/sub-system certification/qualification plans and organize
Manage and participate in product introduction gated reviews
Responsible for managing major manufacturing or engineering subcontracts for design-make components
Define the necessary resource to achieve stakeholder requirements, and negotiate with resource managers, in conjunction with Work Package Manager (WPO) and Sub-System Manager (SSM), and Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL) to balance load and capacity across the IPT.
Ensure project risks (technical, cost, supply chain, and timescale) are identified, managed (including integration of risk activities in project plan), and escalation of risks in accordance with risk management plan.
Ensure IPT work integrated with all relevant higher-level plans - including relevant Project Management Plan and Risk Management Plan
Planning and coordinating experiments (rig, engine, and/or flight testing) including instrumentation and data analysis requirements.

Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in engineering with 2+ years of experience, OR
Master's Degree in engineering, OR
JD/PhD
Eligible to obtain and maintain security clearance, which requires USA Citizenship
Project/Function Management Engineering Experience
Experience leading or managing a team for execution of a program or in support of a functional skillset
Exceptional interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment; willingness to accept responsibility and take initiative; and drive to finish assigned tasks on schedule
Excellent command of the English language for both written and oral communications
Familiarity with external customer interface as well delivery of engine assembly and testing experience at a system level.
