HRIS Systems Analyst Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled HRIS Systems Analyst to support our HR function at Interstate Waste Services, Inc.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR processes and data, as well as experience with HRIS database design, structure, functions, and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and maintenance for HRIS systems, including configuration, security, and file/data transfers.
  • Serve as the technical point of contact for designated HRIS products.
  • Build, test, recommend, and implement changes in collaboration with Human Resources, Payroll, IT, etc.
  • Research, troubleshoot, and resolve system, integration, and interface issues and unexpected results.
  • Coordinate with vendor support with respect to system issues, enhancements, or new configuration.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements to optimize HRIS functionality and usability.
  • Develop and maintain system processes, procedures, guidelines, and documentation.
  • Build and manage HRIS integration with all 3rd party applications.
  • Maintain documentation on integration and ensure any exceptions are reviewed and corrected.
  • Review HRIS workflow daily to ensure timely processing of employee changes and liaise with payroll for seamless processing.
  • Work with SMEs to produce and review audit reports to confirm accuracy and integrity of all data.
  • Participate in HRIS-related projects to streamline and improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Communicate system changes to other areas within HR/Payroll.
  • Manage permissions, access, personalization, and settings for users.
  • Manage HR data and reporting, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent combination of education training and experience.
  • 4 or more years of HRIS/HR system support experience with primary focus on system configuration, security administration, maintenance, creating workflows, reports, and data analytics.
  • Strong understanding of Human resources processes and data, HRIS database design, structure, functions, and processes.
  • Proficient in building integrations between the HRIS systems and 3rd party applications.
  • Proven experience in vendor management and collaborating with various vendor support teams to drive issues to closure.
  • Ability to work with discretion, diplomacy, and tact in high-pressure settings.
  • Ability to handle change, multitask and keep up with a fast pace and consistently growing environment.
  • Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with supporting or implementing Dayforce platform for Time & Attendance, Document Management, Payroll, Benefits, and Compensation Management.
  • Working experience in iCIMS ATS platform.
  • Experience in process mapping.
  • Project management experience.
