About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Giesecke & Devrient. As a key member of our procurement function, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and services to support our mobile security business unit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans to optimize procurement processes and reduce costs
  • Collaborate with production schedulers to ensure material requirements are met in accordance with demand plans and schedules
  • Negotiate with vendors to secure the best possible terms and conditions
  • Lead the execution of supplier agreements and maintain awareness of applicable agreements to ensure compliance
  • Track performance and shipments against released purchase orders
  • Work with internal and external suppliers to resolve material issues and ensure timely delivery
  • Responsible for updating purchasing specifications for PFEP (plans for every part) with packaging specification, procurement lead times, min order qty and any other relevant specification

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement in a manufacturing environment
  • Proven track record of driving supplier improvement and cost reductions
  • Strong ERP skills and disciplines (SAP, Syteline desired)
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
