Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Traveling Construction Manager to join our team at Jobot. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for managing high-visibility commercial ground-up building projects from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and supervising on-site functions, including scheduling, engineering, material control, and day-to-day direction of field activities.
  • Ensure all construction work is carried out in line with the company's standards, contractual agreements, and project plans.
  • Coordinate and interface with clients, contractors, and local authorities to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Schedule, coordinate, and supervise craft employee activities, including supervising one or more trade groups.
  • Monitor and ensure quality control for all work performed, ensuring that all work meets or exceeds the standards set forth by the company and regulatory authorities.
  • Actively promote and enforce a safe job site and maintain a culture of safety awareness within the entire project team.
  • Assist in the resolution of construction problems, such as lack of productivity, work interfaces, etc.
  • Prepare and maintain records of material and labor costs, among other field reports.
  • Participate in the preparation of construction schedules, reports, and budgets.
  • Assist with project layouts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in the construction industry, with a focus on commercial and building construction.
  • Proven ability to supervise, direct, and lead field personnel.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, safety laws, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to effectively use them to coordinate and liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficient in using construction software programs and technology.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a demonstrated ability to think on your feet and make quick decisions when necessary.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
