Job Title: Technical Support Engineer for Commvault Systems

Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled Commvault Support Engineer to provide on-site technical support for our enterprise-level client in Washington, D.C.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform day-to-day administration of the CommVault environment to ensure optimal performance and reliability
  • Review daily backup reports to identify and resolve issues, improving job success rates
  • Analyze and document information about the current CommVault environment to inform decision-making
  • Review and ensure customer policies and procedures align with CommVault's standard methodologies
  • Optimize backup and restore throughput to meet business requirements
  • Develop solutions to complex data movement challenges, such as backups over WAN
  • Manage and resolve trouble tickets to ensure timely resolution

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in backup administration, preferably with CommVault Simpana
  • Practical knowledge of data and information life cycle management, disaster recovery, and software performance tuning
  • Experience with hardware devices such as Storage Arrays, Storage Area Networks, Servers, and NAS devices
  • Ability to logically solve IT issues with confidence and independence
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
