About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Technician II to join our team at Cox Automotive. As a key member of our fleet maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing certified DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on a variety of truck equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform minor adjustments and repairs on electrical, brake, and cooling systems, as well as starters, alternators, and engine electronics.
  • Participate in regular safety training and maintain a culture of safety and compliance.
  • Document work performed, parts used, and findings on repair orders using company-issued devices and proprietary software.
  • Communicate with management, team members, and dispatch to obtain approvals and discuss findings.
  • Manage parts inventory and equipment on company-issued service trucks.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and meeting Cox Automotive's minimum driving qualification standards.
  • Valid DOT Medical Card or ability to obtain one prior to employment.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a power technician on medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair or equivalent combination of technical education/certifications/skill/experiences.
