Job Summary
At St. Francis-Emory Healthcare, we are seeking a skilled Transporter I/II to join our team. As a Transporter I/II, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of patients within our healthcare facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Transport patients via wheelchair or stretcher, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
- Provide dispatch services, including coordinating transportation requests and ensuring timely arrivals.
- Document all transportation services accurately and efficiently.
- Provide material supply services to various departments as requested.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision are essential.
- Previous hospital or nursing home experience is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant licensure, Current Georgia licensure as a Certified Nurse Aide, EMT-B Certificate, Pharmacy Tech Cert, or completion of Nursing Fundamentals in Lieu of CNA Licensure are preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
