Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team at ITT. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for supervising and directing day-to-day valve assembly and test activities for approximately 25 employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assign work, understand test requirements, and manage capacity constraints on valve test stands of various media types.
  • Manage manpower, tools, and equipment coverage to ensure orders are completed and shipped on time.
  • Interpret blueprints, specifications, and engineering orders to clarify and resolve functional problems related to assembly.
  • Maintain quality standards and participate in departmental meetings to improve methods, standardize techniques, and reduce costs.
  • Coordinate with other supervisors or departments for continuity of effort and functionality.
  • Foster a positive work environment and build a team committed to continuous improvement.
  • Oversee scheduling and routine production activities, and act as the first line of support for troubleshooting.
  • Collect data and compile reports about production.
  • Ensure production team has access to all relevant raw materials and equipment to ensure smooth production.
  • Minimize production downtime.
Requirements
  • High school diploma, GED, or related educational background.
  • 6+ years manufacturing supervisory experience in a continuous flow aerospace manufacturing environment, including application of LEAN manufacturing principles.
  • Solid communication and leadership skills.
  • Positive employee relations and team building experience.
  • Comprehensive technical management skills.
  • Solutions-oriented and contributes to continuous improvement for processes.
  • Proficiency in personal computer software and prior experience in an MRP manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in using Excel and other Microsoft software.
  • Experience fostering an environment of Safety and Quality while supporting production needs.
Preferred Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in a high mix/low volume environment for customer orders.
