Clinical Research Nurse

Cape Fox Corporation, a leading provider of shared services, is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Research Nurse to join our team in Baltimore, MD. As a Clinical Research Nurse, you will play a critical role in supporting the National Institutes of Health (NIH) research efforts.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough assessments and collect medical histories and physicals for research participants.
- Collect, maintain, and analyze data, entering and tracking patient information.
- Monitor participants' physiologic condition upon admission, throughout the visit, and upon discharge.
- Assess, record, and report patient reactions to drugs, including study drug adverse reactions.
- Schedule testing and clinic appointments, initiate medical records, and make admission room reservations.
- Follow up with patients through phone calls, written correspondence, or email to assess their condition.
- Plan, implement, evaluate, and document care provided, adhering to protocol requirements and good clinical practice standards.
- Enter clinical and research data into medical records, case report forms, and/or computer systems.
- Perform procedures such as IV placement, phlebotomy, and administering medications, as well as monitor patient progress.
- Collaborate with physicians to plan, evaluate, coordinate, and revise programs to deliver efficient healthcare services.
- Attend patient rounds, protocol information meetings, and participate in patient care conferences to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Manage testing to ensure projects and protocol responsibilities are completed within timelines, considering resource availability.
- Coordinate the collection and analysis of research data, ensuring all records are complete.
- Coordinate research study protocols with NIA researchers and staff, adhering to protocol requirements and good clinical practice standards.
- Review clinical laboratory values with medical staff and/or PI, discussing findings with participants and recommending follow-up as needed.
- Attend clinical unit meetings as needed and participate in development and training programs, both internally and externally.
- Provide participant education, instructing participants on computerized testing and ensuring they understand the research program or testing procedure.
- Perform appropriate action plans in response to emergency situations and/or illness of participants, including direct admissions.
