Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Structural Mechanic II to join our team in Savannah, GA. As a key member of our production department, you will perform a variety of structural assembly operations, ensuring high-quality results and meeting strict requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and fit detail parts and structures, performing drilling and riveting operations with precision and accuracy.
  • Rivet structural assemblies and parts using various tools, ensuring a defect-free finish.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and operation sheets to determine sequence of operations and type of rivets required.
  • Check all work and ensure a defective-free assembly prior to final inspection.
  • Maintain and use logs and records, including MIR sheets, DMTs, Crabs, and PCOs.
  • Align and assemble parts to be riveted using jigs, holding fixtures, pins, clamps, and fasteners.
  • Make repairs per Discrepant Material Tags, Material Review Request, and Production Change Orders, ensuring installations meet conformity.
  • Maintain a neat and orderly work area, supporting the company's 5S Program and complying with all safety regulations.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2 years related structural assembly experience.
  • Experience working with Solumina and Smarteam preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Skilled in close tolerance work and knowledge of special tools and equipment.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to use mathematical formulas to solve dimensional problems.
  • Ability to read a scale and perform basic shop math.
  • Essential personal skills, including a professional attitude, attention to detail, and ability to work with people.
