Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Structural Mechanic I to join our team in a production department. As a key member of our team, you will perform a variety of structural assembly operations under moderate supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and fit detail parts and structures, and perform drilling and riveting operations to ensure parts/assembly meet requirements.
  • Rivet structural assemblies and parts using various tools, including portable riveting guns, pneumatic guns, and drills.
  • Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, lofts, sketches, and operation sheets to determine the sequence of operations and type of rivets required.
  • Check all work to ensure a defective-free assembly prior to final inspection.
  • Maintain and use logs and records, including MIR sheets, DMTs, Crabs, and PCOs.
  • Align and assemble parts to be riveted using jigs, holding fixtures, pins, clamps, and fasteners.
  • Maintain a neat and orderly work area, supporting the company's 5S Program and complying with all safety regulations.
  • Work under moderate supervision on duties and tasks.
  • Support Lean Activities.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1 year related structural assembly experience.
  • Experience working with Solumina and Smarteam preferred.
  • One year experience credit considered for graduates of Savannah Tech Aircraft Structures Technical Certificate Program.
