Job Summary

The EVS Tech position at Titus Regional Medical Center is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients and staff. This role involves performing various cleaning and disinfection tasks, adhering to hospital policies and procedures, and working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a positive work atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining a healthy and clean environment for patients and staff
• Demonstrate knowledge of sterile technique and participate in timely and efficient room turnover
• Clean and disinfect equipment, furniture, and fixtures
• Dust and clean windowsills, vents, and related furnishings
• Operate mechanical equipment, such as vacuum cleaners and carpet cleaning equipment
• Complete work assignments within an acceptable time frame and use time and resources efficiently
• Adhere to hospital policies regarding hand hygiene, universal precautions, and personal protective equipment
• Participate in staff meetings, in-service programs, and education requirements as assigned
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to ensure a positive work environment

Requirements

• Two years of experience in environmental services and/or acute care related service departments preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

Work Environment

This role requires working in a fast-paced hospital environment, with frequent exposure to cleaning chemicals, dust, and noise. The ability to lift, carry, and push heavy objects is also required. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment and maintain a positive attitude in a dynamic work setting.
