About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Laboratory Processing Specialist to join our team at Mercy Medical Center. As a key member of our Department of Pathology, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pathology department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide vital support to the Pre-Analytical Processing section, ensuring daily operations run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Assist the manager in coordinating activities within the Processing area, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Resolve customer service issues promptly and professionally, maintaining high service standards and ensuring patient satisfaction.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, utilizing your keen eye for detail to identify and resolve issues.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in clinical laboratory processing.
  • Associate degree in health sciences or equivalent preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Strong technical aptitude, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
