PRIMARY DUTIES:

Operate a twin-axis lathe, specifically the Omni Turn.

Load fixtures into the machine with either unprocessed parts for machining or pre-machined components for specific operations as outlined in the job router.

Employ measuring instruments to precisely assess part characteristics, ensuring compliance with specified conformance standards, and accurately record measurements on inspection documentation.

Make necessary adjustments to the machine program to compensate for tool wear or movement.

Seek assistance from supervisory personnel in the event of machine malfunctions or if measurements fall outside acceptable limits.

Maintain accurate records of production, quality, and scrap counts on the router daily.

Regularly check and ensure that coolant or oil levels are maintained at optimal functioning levels.



ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience in setting up and operating Turn Mill machinery.
  • Proficient in making offsets.
  • Able to troubleshoot basic issues.
  • Experience in the Aerospace Industry is preferred.
  • Capability to interpret GD&T Code is essential.
  • Proficient in using various measuring tools.
