The City of San Angelo Texas is seeking a skilled Maintenance Worker to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to maintain the city's parks, streets, facilities, and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Perform general labor and maintenance work in accordance with safety regulations and procedures.
- Work with a crew to develop and maintain park areas and other city properties.
- Operate specialized equipment and perform manual labor tasks to maintain parks, streets, infrastructure, and city facilities.
- Respond to emergencies and perform maintenance and repairs within scope of authority.
- Assist in the repair and maintenance of parks and roadways, and maintain landscaping and grounds.
- Clean and maintain city facilities, and make minor facility repairs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Two years of general work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid Texas Driver License with a good driving record.
- Ability to perform strenuous physical activity for extended periods of time and work in extreme weather conditions.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 117 pounds.
- Work is performed outdoors.
- Ability to work with heights of up to 50 feet.
- Ability to withstand constant vibrations from equipment.
