About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team at BJ's Wholesale Club. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, promoting our membership programs, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding customer service to members, responding to their inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Promote our membership programs, including the benefits and features of our membership options.
  • Sell BJs membership products to potential new and existing members, using high-energy and determination to drive sales growth.
  • Deliver superior customer service to members by serving as a first-line point-of-contact regarding membership, credit card applications, general questions, issues, merchandise returns, exchanges, product look-up, and pick-ups.
  • Follow tax-exempt/resale membership policies in regard to the retention processes and procedures, including monitoring membership renewals and tax-exempt/resale status.
  • Resolve member concerns in a courteous and timely manner, escalating issues to the PIC and MOD when necessary.
  • Assist with BOPIC (Buy Online and Pick Up In Club) orders for members.
  • Maintain all club policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed.

Requirements

  • Prior front-line/customer service or previous sales experience preferred.
  • Results-driven with proven success in goal achievement.
  • Basic math skills preferred.
  • Computer proficiency preferred.

Work Environment

  • Most of the time is spent frequently remaining in a stationary position on hard surfaces.
  • Occasionally requires lifting objects up to 30 pounds.
  • Located in a comfortable indoor area with infrequent exposure to temperature extremes and loud noises.

Compensation

In accordance with the Pay Transparency requirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position. At BJ's Wholesale Club, we carefully consider a wide range of non-discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications. The pay range for this position is starting from $15.50.
