About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our team at Jacobs. As a key member of our structural design team, you will be responsible for leading and managing structural projects from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of structural engineers and drafters to deliver high-quality structural designs within scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Develop and implement structural design solutions that meet client requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution and delivery.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and drafters to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients to ensure their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in structural design and engineering.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.
  • At least 15 years of experience in structural design and engineering, with a strong background in finite element modeling and analysis.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with experience leading teams and managing projects.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and teamwork.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Experience with ANSYS and/or ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code.
  • Experience with dynamic loading, blast loading, and UFC Codes.
  • Project management or marketing experience.
Work Environment

This role will be based in our Tullahoma, Tennessee office, with occasional travel to project sites and client meetings.
