In this pivotal role, the individual will leverage their technical expertise to support both the growth and maintenance of the customer base in the North American market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary contact for quality-related matters concerning LEDs and LED modules in North America.
  • Facilitate customer interactions, oversee reporting, and resolve issues effectively.
  • Collaborate with the factory quality team and R&D to prepare reports, analyze data, and summarize findings to support positive outcomes.
  • Deliver technical presentations and updates on ongoing issues to stakeholders.
  • Develop strategies, set priorities, and create action plans in close cooperation with the factory customer service team to address quality concerns.
  • Provide guidance on best manufacturing and assembly practices to mitigate issues at customer locations and internally.
  • Assist during factory audits and manage Product Change Notifications (PCNs).
  • Establish and nurture trusting relationships with key engineers and decision-makers.
  • Encourage a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.
  • Offer occasional technical support to existing clients and cultivate new relationships with potential customers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in an Engineering discipline (electrical, mechanical, material science) or equivalent practical experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the automotive quality sector, particularly in relation to LEDs.
  • At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing (wafer/packaging), reliability testing, and/or failure analysis within the Semiconductor or LED industries.
  • Familiarity with failure analysis techniques and terminology (C-SAM, SEM, TEM, FTIR, FIB, EDX, X-ray, etc.).
  • Knowledge of automotive quality standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001) and statistical analysis.
  • Professional certifications (CMQ, ASQ, etc.) are advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of problem-solving methodologies such as 8D analysis and 5 Whys, along with statistical process control principles.
  • Familiarity with key photometric parameters of LEDs and thermal management in automotive lighting applications is a distinct advantage.
  • Proficient in MS Office tools, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; experience with CRM systems is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for customer visits, conferences, and internal meetings.
