Job Summary

Abacus Technology Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Telecommunications Specialist to provide expert-level support for our Cisco VoIP system. This is a full-time position that requires a strong background in network administration and telecommunications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure, maintain, troubleshoot, and test all aspects of the Cisco VoIP system, including Cisco Unified Call Manager and Unity Connection.
  • Implement and maintain integrated applications such as the Configuration Accounting Information Retrieval System (CAIRS) and ensure seamless functionality with e911.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for working with DISA on DSN configurations, Session Border Controllers (SBCs), trunks/T-1s to AT&T, and local units that utilize our phone system as a pass-through.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on server and network-related tasks.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 3 years of experience supporting VoIP technology and systems.
  • Security+ CE certification.
  • A Microsoft or Cisco certification, or the ability to obtain one within six months.
  • Cisco Collaboration certification is a plus.
  • Experience with Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) administration and Cisco Unity Connection (CUC).
  • Experience with Cisco UCS and Windows Server 2016/2019 is desired.
  • Proficiency in Putty and CLI.
  • Knowledge of network routing/traffic with Cisco or Juniper is preferred.
  • Familiarity with best practices related to telephony, network configurations, network security, and server configurations.
  • Knowledge of STIGS is desired.
  • Familiarity with DISA/DoD/AF regulations, instructions, and guidance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • A US citizenship and current Secret clearance.
