Job Summary

Abacus Technology Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced VoIP Administrator to provide expert-level support for our telephone and network systems. This is a full-time position that requires a strong background in VoIP technology and systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure, maintain, troubleshoot, and test all aspects of the Cisco VoIP system, including Cisco Unified Call Manager and Unity Connection, from end-user devices to the server.
  • Configure and maintain integrated applications such as the Configuration Accounting Information Retrieval System (CAIRS) and perform touch maintenance on e911.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for working with/coordinating with DISA on DSN configurations/troubleshooting Session Border Controllers (SBCs), as well as trunks/T-1s to AT&T, and local units that use our phone system as a pass-through.
  • Assist colleagues in other server and network actions.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience supporting VoIP technology and systems.
  • Must be Security+ CE certified.
  • Must hold a Microsoft or Cisco certification or be able to obtain a certification within six months.
  • Cisco Collaboration certification is a plus.
  • Experience with Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) administration and Cisco Unity Connection (CUC) is required.
  • Experience with Cisco UCS and Windows Server 2016/2019 is desired.
  • Experience with Putty and CLI is necessary.
  • Knowledge of network routing/traffic with Cisco or Juniper is preferred.
  • Familiarity with best practices related to telephony, network configurations, network security, and server configurations is essential.
  • Knowledge of STIGS is desired.
  • Familiarity with DISA/DoD/AF regulations, instructions, and guidance is required.
  • Must be highly motivated, a self-starter, and customer-oriented with the ability to adapt quickly to a rapidly changing environment.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary.
  • Must be a US citizen and hold a current Secret clearance.
